Summer 1 - The Romans

Big Bang!
As part of our new topic The Romans, the children learnt about the three Roman Invasions of Britain. After learning about them, the children ‘became’ disciplined Roman soldiers following orders in Latin. They then made miniature versions of Roman mangonels which they fired both in the classroom and on the field. The children talked enthusiastically to Mrs McGovern about this in the dining hall at lunch time!
