“Bringing Learning to Life”
Little Explorers began with an exploratory walk through Therfield looking for signs of Spring. We saw lots of lovely flowers, bees and butterflies! We then created a Seasons display for our classroom to support our Science unit. In Science we discussed the changing seasons and learnt that daylight hours change.
To end our maths unit Fractions, we completed a problem-solving challenge ‘unlock the box’. We had to work out the answers to reveal the code to unlock each box. Inside the boxes were yummy treats!
We thoroughly enjoyed reading the story Wombat Stew, a Traditional Tale from Australia. We used our brilliant acting skills to recreate the story using masks! Some of us even gave the Australian accent a go!
In Geography, we explored the UK. We learnt all about Continents, Oceans and the countries that make up the UK. We enjoyed learning about different landmarks in the UK as well as each countries flag and flower.
