What’s been going on….
Therfield First School is an outstandingly effective school much appreciated by parents and pupils.
'There is an exceptionally interesting range of activities available to pupils, both during and beyond the school day’
To value every child as an individual and to ensure that every child achieves their own highest standard, academically, socially and morally.
To provide a place where each child can develop in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, using the support of the close village community.
Welcome to our school website. Therfield First is an Ofsted Outstanding school. Our school is a First School, catering for children between the ages of 4 to 9 years. We are part of the 3 tier system where children move at 9 into Middle school and then again at 13 into Upper school.
We are a small nurturing village school where the children are at the heart of everything we do. We are modern and forward thinking whilst retaining traditional values. Our innovative and creative team work closely with our parents/carers, the local and the wider community. The size of the school is our strength and we place great emphasis on valuing and developing the whole child – spiritual, creative, academic, sporting and social talents of each individual are recognised, developed and celebrated.
I have been the Head Teacher here since September 2012 and am very proud of all our children and their achievements. This website will give you a flavour of our school and hopefully answer any questions you may have about what goes on here. If you would like to arrange a visit I would be delighted to show you round so please do contact the office. You are, of course, very welcome to bring your child/ren with you on your visit.
We also hold an Open Morning for prospective parents each November and an Open Evening for the whole school and local community each June. Please contact the school office for more information.
