Therfield First School

“Bringing Learning to Life”

A very warm welcome to the website of our fabulous school.  Therfield First School is an Ofsted Outstanding school, catering for children between the ages of 4 to 9 years. We are part of the 3 tier system where children move at the end of Year 4 (aged 9) into Middle school and then again at the end of Year 8 (aged 13) into Upper school.

Therfield First School is a small, nurturing village school where the children are at the heart of everything we do.  Taught across three classes (Honeypot, Duckpuddle and Rooks Nest) we are modern and forward thinking whilst retaining traditional values.  Our dedicated and talented team bring ‘learning to life’ through teaching an innovative and creative curriculum.  We work closely with our parents/carers, outside agencies, the local and wider community to provide an enriched and inclusive education for all our children.

The size of the school is our strength - we are a small school with BIG ideas!  We place great emphasis on valuing and developing the whole child.  The spiritual, creative, academic, sporting and social talents of each individual are recognised, developed, valued and celebrated.

I hope that navigating your way around our website will give you a flavour of our school.  If you would like to arrange a visit I would be delighted to show you around.  If you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit, please contact the office during school hours.

We also hold an Open Morning for prospective parents each November and an Open Evening for the whole school each June or July.  Please contact the school office for more information.
